This portal allows members of the MSU community to manage their identity-related information stored and used by information technology systems at MSU in compliance with the University's Name, Gender, Sexual Identity and Pronoun Data Policy.
Legal Name & Sex data cannot be managed here, as those changes require documentation to be reviewed by the appropriate office. More info on the appropriate process for updating Legal Name & Sex data is available here. This paragraph would be omitted for guests & affiliates, since they will not have Legal Names to manage.
Members of the University Community are able to restrict the use of their identity information in compliance with FERPA, etc. More information about how those restrictions are implemented is available here.
